Thank You by KmyGraphic for the fave on </B>Kanzashi Girl</B> She is wearing kanzashi on her head. These are colorful flower hairpins that decorate the hair of maiko (apprentice geisha) which are known as hana kanzashi. These flower ornaments change monthly to express the season. She was a bit reluctant and nervous before going on stage at a Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival 2014. Kanzashi Girl by AndySerrano Kanzashi Girl Profile by AndySerrano

Thank You by KmyGraphic  Thank-you-for-favs by KmyGraphic on Just Married in Kyoto by AndySerrano

Just Married in Kyoto. Traditionally, there were two types of marriage according to the method of finding a partner — "omiai," resulting from an arranged introduction, and "ren'ai," in which the husband and wife met and decided to marry on their own.   After the surrender and  ccupation of Japan by Allied forces, Article 24 of the Constitution of 1947 reestablished marriage on grounds of equality and choice: Marriage shall be based only on the mutual consent of both sexes and it shall be maintained through mutual cooperation with the equal rights of husband and wife as a base. With regard to choice of spouse, property rights, inheritance, choice of domicile, divorce and other matters pertaining to marriage and the family, all laws shall be enacted from the standpoint of individual dignity and the essential equality of the sexes.
